Product description
Standard split-system air conditioner installation for a single-storey property with a back-to-back layout, where the indoor and outdoor units sit on opposite sides of the same wall. Installation is carried out by a licensed installer; the air conditioner is purchased separately.
Standard installation includes
- Installation by a licensed installer, with mandatory compliance certificates in Victoria and the ACT.
- Up to 2.5 metres of connecting pipework and up to 20 metres of cable run inside the roof.
- PVC ducting and a weatherproof isolation switch near the outdoor unit.
Site requirements
- The switchboard must have capacity and space for an additional circuit.
- Allow at least 150 mm of clear wall above and on both sides of the indoor unit.
- Obtain any required landlord, building-owner or strata approvals before installation.
Not included in standard installation
- Supply of the air conditioner.
- Double-storey or non-back-to-back installations and additional pipework.
- Outdoor mounting brackets, a poly slab where one is not already available, and electrical upgrades.
- Additional regional-location costs or other non-standard work, subject to a separate quote.
